I admit: I love getting mail from design shops, designers, photographers, and just stuff. I always flip through the latest Veer catalog between the mailbox and desk, even if it means pausing for a moment somehwere, for instance; it’s always refreshing to receive something so well done.
Shockingly, most — 90% or better — of the graphic-design mail I receive is good. The duds are rare; usually mass-marketing of a new self-publishing, logo design, or other churn ’em out facility. But I look at everything. Just can’t resist.
Once in a while, though, a little gem rolls off the mail truck. Usually from a small shop, they reek of handmade quality. Such is the case with a piece from Pam Connolly Photography in Pleasantville, NY: a glassine envelope containing a folded card with four beautiful photographs.

High-quality ink on appropriately heavy paper leading to galleries on a fresh web site. And Dalliance, still a fave, beautifully used here — love it when type makes me smile.
Pam Connolly: Nice style.
