Friday Cat Blogging
Foreword debuts a new regular feature today: Friday cat photos. I’ll start with one of mine, but contributions welcome. This is Chloe:

Why cat blogging? From the NYTimes:
In the vitriolic world of political Web logs, two polar extremes are Eschaton, a liberal, often anti-Bush site with a passionate following, and Instapundit, where an equally fervent readership goes for hearty praise of the Administration.
It would seem unlikely that the two blogs’ authors could see eye-to-eye about anything. Yet Eschaton’s Duncan Black (known as Atrios) and Instapundit’s Glenn Reynolds have both taken part in a growing practice: turning over a blog on Friday to cat photographs.
“It brings people together,” said Kevin Drum, who began the cat spotlight last year on his own blog, Calpundit. “Both Atrios and Instapundit have done Friday catblogging. It goes to show you can agree on at least a few things.”
In light of some of the partisianship and entrenched political positions shown around here recently, let’s lighten the tone a little. Got a photo for a future Friday cat blog entry? Let us know!

Comments:
I call next Friday! I have three cats, and I am ridiculously devoted to them. Which means that they’re all very fat.
They kind of remind me of the Power Puff girls, in that they are all basically good but they tend to quarrel with each other.
I’m very fond of dogs, but as a designer I feel like dogs aren’t as photogenic. Is that speciest of me?
Looking forward to lots of kitty pics, Evan! Thanks.

Not here…!
Looking forward to next Friday. Thanks. (And, FYI, this shot of Chloe is carefully arranged to not show her rather large belly…;)
I donno, some dogs look pretty good on camera.
Do we post them, or email them to you?
Oh yes, I am a cat-lady to the bone.
