Free Culture Update

The reading of Lessig’s Free Culture, mentioned below, is coming along slowly. I apologize for the delay — but it’s been a far, far bigger project than I imagined.

It’s also going to be a big download, so I might split it into several sections. I’ve also been introduced to GarageBand, finally, which has not helped office productivity — what a great program!! — but is doing exactly what I need to stich my several hundred megabytes of raw recordings together and edit them. No singing, though…;)

Hi Giles,

I was just wondering how it was coming along. I’ve recorded raw audio for the first 20 pages of Ch 10, and am wondering whether to edit what I have and post it or not. I’m starting to really appreciate how much time it takes to do this work!

Hi, Ralph. Thanks for stopping by.

As a matter of fact, I’m working on it just now. I’ve recorded all of the audio and am about half way through editing it. If all goes well, it’ll be up tomorrow. Perhaps it would be easier if I didn’t require so many edits…!

In any case, please continue if you’d like. As has been pointed out, having multiple versions allows people to choose the one they prefer.
