Fun in Second Grade

Can’t visit the New York area without going to visit the in-laws — and meet my brand-new niece, Amy. (Who is adorable.) But it’s seven-year-old Jill who somehow gets most of the attention.

This visit, I asked to see her classroom and meet her teacher. In exchange, I brought The Playmakers to show off pictures of toys, did a special cover just for Jill to show the class, and then asked the class to do their own.

And here she is — holding up The Alligator Who Ate 100 Schools, the title the class decided on together. Special thanks to Mrs. Walter and Ms. Donald for letting me stop by.

And thank you, Jill, for having fun with book design!

I think that my uncle is the best person because he did this wonderful entry about me!

The Alligator Who Ate 100 Schools was made up because it was the 100th day of school and since the book about me was called The Alligator Who Ate Jillian, the class voted to make up the story The Alligator Who Ate 100 Schools.
